I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. -- Barry Goldwater

Reid Wants to Take Taxpayers for a Ride

Posted by Demian Brady - April 07, 2006

We've had the Bridge to Nowhere and the Railroad to Nowhere, now there's the MagLev to Vegas.

Senator Reid has been earmarking funds for a "superfast hovering train" between Las Vegas and Disneyland. If this is such a good project for the casinos and Anneheim, as its backers attest, then let them bring their own money to the table instead of gambling with federal taxpayer dollars.

If only John Ensign garnered 428 more vote in 1998, Harry Reid would just be another liberal blow-hard.
