We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. -- Winston Churchill

Tranportation Earmark of the Day

Posted by Dominic Rupprecht - September 10, 2007

The winner of the Transportation Earmark of the Day for Monday September 10 is: $1,000,000 for improvements to the Pedestrian Plaza at the Connecticut Science Center.

Thanks to Senators Lieberman and Dodd, for reminding us that providing access to a "gift shop and cafe" are vital federal needs that should be addressed in the Transportation/HUD Appropriations Bill.
