A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until a majority of voters discover that they can vote themselves largess out of the public treasury.--Lord Woodhouselee

Sign NTU’s “No More Bailouts” Petition

Posted by Kristina Rasmussen - September 19, 2008

Are you tired of hearing about how your tax dollars are going to bail out government-sponsored enterprises and private institutions? We are.

Did you send your hard-earned money to the IRS to cover the fiscal mismanagement at Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Bear Stearns, and AIG? We didn’t.

Do you like the sound of a new $25 billion bailout for big auto companies? We don’t.

It’s time to say “enough is enough!” Sign our “No More Bailouts” petition to Congress and the President today.

Unless people like you speak out, there’s no end in sight to this abuse of taxpayer dollars. Act today!

The best way to stop more financial messes is to "throw the bums out". We need to get rid of Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Charles Rangel,Barak Obama and all of the other greedy creeps in Congress before any reform will be allowed. They are the original cause of this bailout-they used Freddie and Fannie as their personal piggybank.

Thanks for putting this petition together!

My trackback will be next, but I must point out to Louise Boden also that we don't need all of Congress thrown out, just the big spenders. We have to fight the perception that the government is saving jobs with these bailouts, instead we're making ourselves less competitive and the jobs we will lose will be those of our children.

It's too late now. The bailouts are necessary because of greater economic concerns. But if we had the REGULATIONS we wouldn't need the BAILOUTS.

Blame the sleazy deregulating GOP for this mess.

We want liens on their assets. We want their property seized. We want their bonuses and golden parachutes forfeited. We want their jobs terminated.

Once again the two parties in the course of serving their special interest groups have done so at the expense of the American people. There is, no doubt that both republicans and democrats are to blame. Likewise, there is no doubt who will pay for the two party’s mistake. It will be YOU the American people. The dems and reps expect you, the American people, to bail them out and the special interest groups they serve. Make no mistake about it you, the American people, will foot the bill and you will have no say in it, and you will have no choice.
You will pay and they won’t. We must vote them out....For more information and my solution visit www.americansdl.com
