Last night the House of Representatives votes 237-170-1 to pass a $14 billion auto bailout. 205 Democrats and 32 Republicans supported the bailout. 150 Republicans and 20 Democrats opposed it. John Campbell (R-Ca) voted present. And 26 members didn't show up.
According to the New York Times, the bailout bill is a "government rescue of the American automobile industry." Although everyone who watched the bailout hearings knows, the money will be about as much use to Detroit as throwing Waterpals Arm Floats to

Its good to hear that my tax dollars will go to paying someone who makes over 3x what I do. I STILL don't want a bailout. I would rather do it myself.
