Conservative hashtags on Twitter
Posted by Joshua Culling - December 19, 20081. #TCOT: Top Conservatives on Twitter – used for tweets that have to do with conservative thought, action and advocacy. List of top conservatives on Twitter at www.topconservativesontwitter.org.
2. #statebooks: Used for tweets that report on state budget and economic news, including tax hikes, spending cuts, and federal bailouts of the states. Used by activists, think tankers, and legislators.
3. #transparency: Used for tweets that report on government transparency and accountability, most notably online spending databases at the state and local level. For more info, see Show Me the Spending and the Center for Fiscal Accountability.
4. #bailout: Used for tweets about federal bailouts of the financial industry, the auto industry, state governments, mayors’ infrastructure wish lists. For more information see Beyond Bailouts.
5. #workerfreedom: Used for tweets that have to do with union issues, created by the Alliance for Worker Freedom.
6. #NTC2009: Used for tweets about the National Taxpayers Union’s 2009 National Taxpayers Conference.
7. #rncchair: Used for tweets about the race for the Chairman of the Republican National Committee.
8. #heritage: Tweets involving the Heritage Foundation (@Heritage).
9. #cei: Tweets involving the Competitive Enterprise Institute (@ceidotorg).
10. #ATR: Tweets involving Americans for Tax Reform (@taxreformer).
11. #Blago: Used to document the corruption charges against Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich
12. #scga: The hashtag of the South Carolina General Assembly.
13. #hhrs: The hashtag of the Hugh Hewitt radio show (@hughhewitt).
14. #nme: Tweets from/about the New Media Exchange, a bi-weekly meeting of conservatives interested in new media and social networking hosted by Americans for Tax Reform and Americans for Prosperity.
15. #cbb: Tweets from/about the Conservative Bloggers Briefing, hosted weekly by the Heritage Foundation’s Rob Bluey (@Heritage, @RobBluey)
16. #libertarian: Tweets about libertarian ideas, both lower-case and capital L.
17. #I&R: Tweets about the initiatives and referenda process.
18. #dontgo: Tweets relating to the dontgo movement, which seeks to hold conservative politicians accountable to their pro-liberty base.
19. #rebuild: Tweets about Rebuild the Party, which seeks to strengthen and modernize the Republican party.
20. #ncgop: Tweets about conservatism and the Republican Party in North Carolina.
21. #sgp: Tweets relating to Smart Girl Politics, a group of female conservative bloggers.

@rightgrrl - Yes. If you click the hashtag link, it will take you to an aggregate feed of tweets including each tag.
