Colorado Rep. BJ Nikkel (R-Berthoud) and Sen. Michael Knopp (R-Littleton) have an op-ed in Saturday's Coloradan that makes the case for HB 1288, the Colorado Taxpayer Transparency Act.
This legislation recently passed the House and is headed to the Senate. Similar legislation, SB 57, would have created a transparency database for public schools, and passed the Senate in February on a 26-8 vote. I would expect the same Senators who voted for school transparency will support HB 1288.
Again, the case for CO HB 1288
